Happy Valentine's Day

  1. That's so lovely! What will you do today? Richard and I explored what was once the largest hillfort north of the Alps. A lovely Valentine's Day gift from my hubby to share my hobby with me.

  2. I'd love to explore a hillfort today! Perhaps we'll explore an ice cream parlor instead.

  3. Thank you, William!

And now, Bellis, I have your answer. We walked through that lovely neighborhood in Sierra Madre near the wash, and had lunch at Mary's Market.

  4. That was a lovely thing to do, Petrea. I always feel I'm in an Alpine village in Italy when I walk there. The mountain stream with cobbled walls, the bridges, the chalets.

  6. We enjoyed it, Bellis. I had never walked to the covered bridge before. We went past it, up to the dam. The LA Times published it as a neighborhood walk a few weeks ago, and the locals didn't seem to mind. They waved and greeted us.

We did, Lauren, and I hope you did, too.

  7. I adore Jameson Brown, hiding in plain sight on Allen near the 210. I have done a lot of writing there while enjoying lattes and the best hot chocolate in the realm.
